The 2011 North Langley Softball Executive is committed to developing and supporting our softball coaches and assistant coaches. The girls can only be as good as their coaches. We are offering 2 free pre-season coaching clinics and a Level 1 coaching certification course (details below). We will also be holding a mid-season coaching session to further help our valued coaches.
2011 COACH CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Softball Canada adopted a new National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) in 2008. The Goal of the program is to create “coaches who can demonstrate their competence.” More details can be found at Softball BC and Coaches BC
- Under the auspices of Softball Canada, Softball BC has decided to make Community Sport-On-Going Participation mandatory for all House or “C – Level” head coaches (Squirt Division and above for the 2011 season)
In accordance with this ruling, the Executives of NLDS Softball are recommending that all coaches take this training as soon as possible.
