WHAT TO EXPECT                                                                       

  • Teams are limited to 10 - 12 players to ensure minimal ‘down time’.
  • All players are graded to determine skill level and will be assesed in order to form each team. "Special Request" on team placement may not be possible.
  • All players participate & rotate positions.
  • Emphasis on having fun while still developing skills and allows them to experience the value of teamwork.
  • 1-2 games/ week (weekdays) is typical (1.5 hours of play includes 45 minutes of practice & a 45 minute game).
  • Introductory level to softball.  
  • Player pitching introduced (with Coach assistance).
  • Emphasis on basic skills – throwing / catching / hitting.
  • Games are officiated by trained teenage umpires.
  • Uniform consists of jersey, shorts, socks & cap (jersey & shorts returned at end of season).
  • Glove, batting helmet & Jill ARE MANDATORY
